The recent deaths of Internet marketing guru Corey Rudl and the father of Site Build It's founder Ken Evoy, followed by my own father's illness, have reminded me once again how precious life is.

I've often stated that we should all find time in between chasing goals to enjoy the people around us, and to indulge in the sometimes 'small' activities that can bring so much happiness and satisfaction.

I'm always a little shocked when I get deluged with marketing offers around Christmas and other holidays. Some Internet marketers are sending out offers on Christmas Day! Does this sound balanced to you?

So if it's the weekend in your part of the world, please turn off the computer and go spend some time with the people you care about. This e-mail will still be here when you log on next week. It can wait, but the people in your life won't always be there.

At the risk of sounding like Barney the dinosaur, tell someone you love them or give them a hug, then give them the gift of your time and attention.

Update On World Internet Summit USA

As promised, we're now able to release the location information and dates for the 2005 World Internet Summit USA.

If you haven't yet read my embarrassing discovery at the Australian World Internet Summit in March, you can find it here.

This year's USA event will be held at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport on September 15-19, 2005. This is where you can learn about the Internet from the 'crème de la crème'. According to organizers Ted, Tom and Brett, it should be the best one yet.
